Presently the COVID-19 epidemic is still running at a high level. The employment promotion and daily teaching are facing great difficulties. In response to the call of the school, the Department of Transportation System Engineering held a comprehensive exchange meeting within the department via Tencent Conference on the morning of April 29, 2022. The topics included employment promotion, daily teaching, thesis for bachelor degree, application for production, learning and education project of the Ministry of Education, psychological counseling for students and other issues. The meeting was presided over by Liu Weiwei, Deputy Director of the department. Zhao Jing, Director of the department, Yao Jiao, Secretary of the Party Branch, and all department teachers attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Zhao Jing, Director of the department, introduced the situation of 2022 graduating students, made a detailed interpretation of the difficulties and progress requirements of graduates' employment, and put forward suggestions on how to effectively promote graduates' employment.
From the aspects of daily teaching, final examination and graduation thesis, Liu Weiwei, Deputy director, proposed that the examination scoring standards should be refined and the in-between assessments should be stricter. It was suggested that the teachers should prepare the examination papers in advance and schedule the time and classroom for term-end examinations. It is emphasized that teachers should pay attention to the timing of the graduation thesis and do well in the upcoming duplicate checking, blind examination, defense etc. He encouraged teachers to participate in teaching skills competition, organize and promote the publicity and consultation of undergraduate enrollment and the filling and reporting of philosophy and social teaching materials.
Li Wenxiang, a teacher of the Department of Transportation System Engineering, introduced the progress of application for industry-university cooperation and collaborative education projects sponsored by the Ministry of Education, and the participation of the 17th National College Students' Transportation Science and Technology Competition.
Yao Jiao, Secretary of the Party Branch, expressed compassion to all teachers who overcame difficulties and ensured the orderly work during the epidemic. At the same time, he stressed the need to pay attention to students' mental health and party members' learning.
The participants had positive exchanges and discussions on common issues of concern. The meeting unified ideas and reached consensus for various work faced in the near future, created a good atmosphere for all teachers to actively fight the epidemic and overcome difficulties, and played a positive role in promoting the completion of work with high efficiency and quality.
