An academic lecture titled “Policy Choices and Optimization Strategies for Provincial Government’s Digital Transformation in Education” was hold On the morning of March 22nd, an academic lecture titled Policy Choices and Optimization Countermeasures for Provincial Government's Digital Transformation in Education” was delivered by Associate Professor Jing Cao from the Department of Public Administration via Tencent Meeting. Faculty members and graduate students from the Department of Public Administration attended the presentation.

The presentation began with an exploration of the macro background of digital transformation in education both domestically and internationally. It outlined recent trends in education digitization from the perspectives of UNESCO and major countries, analyzing the driving support role of digitalization in fostering high-quality education development. Through framework construction, data analysis, and result discussions, the study presented its conclusions and proposed future research directions.

The research suggests that provincial governments should further reinforce the value of education in their digitalization policies, focusing on addressing the needs of teachers and students as well as enhancing digital literacy. Different provinces should align their digitalization processes with regional contexts to establish clear goals and strategies for education digitization. There should also be thorough reflections on the limitations of education digitization, emphasizing the importance of humane care throughout the digitalization process.

Following the presentation, insightful and precise comments were provided by teachers Yan Wu and Yannan Zhou. During the discussion session, faculty and students exchanged views on the current status of student learning, constraining factors, and regional characteristics in the process of education digitization.

This academic event further deepened the understanding and comprehension of education digitization among faculty and students, providing broader perspectives for the study of policies related to the digital transformation of education.
