On April 18th, the Hujiang Economics and Management Forum Series (99th Session) was successfully held in the second conference room on the fourth floor of Building A at the School of Management. Associate Professor Yang Pingle from the Department of Public Administration delivered an academic report titled How to Enhance the Resilience of Human Society against Infectious Diseases? A Targeted Immunization Strategy Based on Complex Network Epidemic Threshold Maximization.

The report first introduced the specific background of the research topic, proposing that the epidemic threshold characteristics in complex network theory can be introduced into the design of immunization strategies, successfully transforming the immunization problem into an optimization problem. The report deeply analyzed the theoretical basis, implementation methods, and potential applications of this innovative immunization strategy, providing new ideas and strategies for infectious disease prevention and control, and helping human society better cope with possible future infectious disease challenges.

Finally, Associate Researcher Zhou Lixin from the Department of Information Management and Information Systems and Lecturer Wang Ting from the Department of Industrial Engineering provided comments on the lecture, and the participants engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on the content of the report.
