On the afternoon of February 12, a delegation of University of British Columbia (UBC) led by Parker Xu, Head of UBC in Shanghai, visited the Business School. Wang Zhongyue, UBC alumnus and Chief Industry Expert of Shanghai UrbanByte Digital Technology Co. came to exchange. Zhao Jing, Vice Dean of our School, and members of Internationalization Development Office participated in the exchange meeting. The meeting was presided over by Zhao Jing.
Zhao Jing warmly welcomed the UBC delegation. He introduced the School's history characteristics, talent cultivation mode, faculty development, as well as scientific research and international development achievements. Also, he expressed great expectations for the future in-depth cooperation between the two sides.
Parker Xu expressed his gratitude for the reception of our School. And he gave a detailed introduction to the UBC, including its educational philosophy, disciplinary advantage, and internationalization strategy. In particular, he elaborated on the specific cooperation and exchange programs between the UBC and Chinese universities, and also shared successful experience in the fields of talent cultivation, scientific research cooperation and cultural exchanges, etc.
Then, the two sides carried out in-depth discussions on key issues, such as cooperation mode, contents, the framework of the agreement, as well as the implementation details.
This exchange deepened the mutual understanding of UBC and the Business School, also laid a solid foundation for the subsequent promotion of cooperation programs.
