The First Session of Innovation and Development Forum for College Students was Held in Business School——the 2025 National English Competition for College Students Kickoff

On the evening of February 26, the First Session of Innovation and Development Forum for College Students (IDFCS)-Briefing for the 2025 National English Competition for College Students (NECCS) was held in Business School. Zhou Qingyan, a senior tutor of College of Foreign Languages, and Liu Yuhong, a student of Business School, were invited to give special tutorials and share experience on the NECCS. The event was hosted by Shuang Yiming, Director of the Undergraduate Academic Affairs Office, and more than 100 students of the School participated in the event.

Shu Yiming introduced the background and purpose of IDFCS. He expressed that for graduates, the innovative capability is required amid the technological revolution and industrial transformation, as well as the rapid development of AI. The Innovation and Development Forum for College Students aims to build a platform, where they could enhance their innovation capability and social adaptability.

Zhou Qingyan introduced the competition system, topic types and preparation strategies in detail. She emphasized that, as a national Class A competition, the NECCS carries high value, so the winning students shall take significant advantages in postgraduate school admission, and preparation for further awards and prizes, etc.

Liu Yuhong, the first prize winner of NECCS, shared his experience of the previous competition. Starting from the question types of the competition, such as listening, reading and writing, he explained the preparation skills in detail and encouraged students to actively participate in the competition, and to improve their comprehensive English capability.

This event not only provided practical guidance for students, but also stimulated their enthusiasm for innovation and entrepreneurship. In the future, the Business School will continue the Innovation and Development Forum for College Students, and carry out more diverse activities to promote students' comprehensive development.
