From November 7 to 9, Zhao Laijun, the dean of Business School, led a delegation to attend the 6th Annual Conference of the Research Alliance for Internationalization of Business Schools (RAIBS) held at Guangdong University of Technology. The theme of the conference was AI Reshaping Business Education: Empowerment and Transformation. The conference was hosted by the RAIBS, guided by Teaching Steering Committee for Business Administration Majors of the Ministry of Education (MOE), organized by School of Management of Guangdong University of Technology, and co-organized by Shanghai Blackboard Information Technology Co., Ltd. Liu Weiwei, vice dean of the School, members of the Internationalization Office, and representatives from USST International Affairs Office as well as Sino-British College accompanied the visit. Nearly one hundred guests from more than 40 universities nationwide participated in the conference.

On the evening of November 7, the chairman units and vice-chairman units of RAIBS held a working meeting, and conducted discussions on topics such as the admission of new members, as well as next annual conference. On the afternoon of the next day, Zhao Laijun delivered a keynote speech titled AI-Driven Reform of Business Talent Cultivation and Industry-Education Integration Practice. In addition, Professor Yi Zhihong, the Convener of the Discipline Evaluation Group for Business Administration under the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, the deputy director of the National MBA Education Steering Committee, and the former vice-president of Renmin University of China; Mr. Geoff Perry, the executive vice-president of AACSB and the executive director of the Asia-Pacific region; Professor Li Tianxing, the former vice- president of Fu Jen Catholic University and a special lecture expert for AACSB; Professor Feng Gengzhong, the dean of the School of Management of Xi'an Jiaotong University; Professor Lin Song, the dean of the Business School of Central University of Finance and Economics; Professor Wang Jingbin, the dean of the School of Management of Tianjin University of Technology and an AACSB accreditation tutor; Professor Hu Haibo, the dean of the School of Business Administration of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics; and Professor Jiang Jingjing, the dean of the Business College of Beijing Union University delivered keynote speeches.

After the keynote speeches, the Business School of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and the Business College of Beijing Union University presented certificates to the newly admitted member units. Subsequently, Liu Weiwei summarized the conference and announced that the 7th Annual Conference of the RAIBS would be jointly hosted by USST Business School and the Sino-British College. On behalf of the next host, he sincerely invited all the guests and expressed his expectation to hold a grand event at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology next year.

After the annual conference, members of the Internationalization Office participated in a special training on social influence organized by AACSB at the School of Management of Guangdong University of Technology. The training was lectured by Mr. Geoff Perry, the executive vice-president of AACSB and the executive director of the Asia-Pacific region. The special training focused on the relationship between the output of business schools and social influence. Through this training, the understanding of AACSB standards was deepened, laying a foundation for the subsequent re-accreditation work.

Since its establishment in 2018, jointly initiated by the Business School of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and the Business College of Beijing Union University, the Research Alliance for Internationalization of Business Schools has been committed to building an efficient communication platform for domestic institutions participating in international accreditation. The aim of RAIBS is to promote cooperation and exchanges among institutions and improve the education quality as well as internationalization level of business schools. As of now, the RAIBS has 18 vice-chairman units and 50 member units, with members spread across major universities throughout the country.
