Zhao Ning, Deputy Party Secretary of USST, attended and delivered opening remarks, while Zhao Laijun, Dean of the Business School, presided over the event. Vice Dean Liu Weiwei and faculty and student representatives participated.
In his remarks, Zhao Ning emphasized that the forum's focus on design thinking systematically elucidated methodology-driven and problem-solving approaches. He urged attendees to grasp the essence of design thinking, transform theoretical insights into research momentum, and develop actionable strategies to advance industrial upgrading.

Zhang Wenjun comprehensively analyzed the core characteristics of design thinking (DT). He highlighted three fundamental attributes: openness, empiricism, and iterativity.
