报告人简介：Prof. Alex Lord, PhD
Following a first degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, Alexander (Alex) Lord completed a PhD at the University of Manchester’s School of Environment and Development before joining the University of Liverpool in 2007 as a Research Assistant. Alex was submitted to national Research Assessment Exercise 2008 whilst still a Research Assistant. He was then subsequently promoted through Lecturer, Senior lecturer and Reader to Professor in 10 years contributing 4 papers to Liverpool’s submission to the national Research Excellence Framework 2014 in the course. From 2015-2019 he served as Head of Civic Design – the world’s first school of planning. In 2019 Alex was appointed to the Lord Lever Chair of City Planning: the world’s first named Chair in the subject area.
He has been principal investigator on multiple large awards (in excess of £1 million) by the Economic and Social Research Council and will lead an ESRC-NSFC (China) collaborative project from 2019-2022. In addition Alex has led projects for the UK government, the EU and the Royal Town Planning Institute.
